2nd Shift Maintenance Coach/Supervisor

Position Overview:

The maintenance coach is a key position in the support of the manufacturing operation. This position will work closely with the senior department coach to implement improvement and continued enhancement of the manufacturing and facilities support process.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Supervises the activities and scheduling of work to assigned personnel.
• Manages the Maintenance Ticket request system for assigned personnel.
• Communicates and enforces all company policies and safety regulations to assigned personnel.
• Offers input for changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the maintenance department.
• Recommends or initiates personnel actions such as disciplinary action including discharge.
• Sources out, places orders and expedites as needed maintenance parts and supplies.
• Evaluates vender pricing to insure competitive costs are being secured.
• Performs the duties and responsibilities of the senior department coach in his absents.

Position Requirements:

• Mechanically inclined
• Experienced in various fields of mechanical equipment repair and facilities maintenance
• Ability to read plumbing and electrical schematics
• Ability to read blueprints
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literate
• Supervisory, Organizational, Multi-tasking, and Leadership skills
• Ability to direct and manage people, interact effectively with peers, management and fellow employees
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent work experience

Physical requirements:

Must be able to walk and climb. For example must be able to climb to roof level or to E-Coat oven. At times will need to stoop and bend to evaluate breakdowns. Lifting may be necessary.
