E-Coat Technician

Position Overview:

Responsible for daily operation and maintenance of the E-Coat system. This position insures that all tanks and processes related to the daily operation of the finishing system are completed and maintained. This person is also responsible for maintaining the wastewater treatment system.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily operation of the E-Coat system.
• Insure that all coating tanks are maintained within established operating parameters.
• Conduct daily lab tests and complete daily reports.
• Complete monthly verification test and send results to coating supplier for test.
• Assist the Maintenance department with completing weekly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Attend weekly team meetings as requested.
• Maintain a quality work environment as relates to E-Coat responsibilities.
• Implement improvements and cost reductions.
• Maintain E-Coat finishing product inventories.
• Complete weekly inventory assessments and order product as needed.
• Insure operation of the E-Coat finishing processes. Included is the E-Coat system, automated material handling conveyor, E-Coat lab, non-hazardous waste that is generated by the E-Coat finishing process.

Position Requirements:

Two-year degree or equivalent experience/training preferred. Five years manufacturing experience. Experience with E-Coat processes a plus. Must have experience with finishing processes and problem solving. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have good mechanical problem solving skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours and weekend overtime.

Physical/mental requirements needed to perform the essential function of the position:

Normal standing, bending, walking or lifting ability associated with a shop floor environment. Must be able to verbally communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
