Industrial Products Quote Analyst

Position Purpose: This position will provide price competitive quotes to our customers by interpreting customer specifications and drawings. The individual will coordinate with other functional areas such as engineering, purchasing, fleet and sales in preparing quotes. General customer service will be provided in handling customer concerns/questions, understanding production capabilities, having product knowledge, and maintaining daily quote schedules.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Interpretation of customer specifications and drawings for the complicated specs.
• Prepare and enter quotes in Knapheide Quote Programs.
• Follow existing procedures established by manager.
• General customer service:
• Handle customer concerns and questions.
• Route complex concerns
• Product knowledge and shop capabilities
• Maintain quote schedule

Position Requirements:

• 4 year college degree preferred. A combination of other technical training and work related experience will be considered
• Prior cost estimating experience is beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal skills are required.
• Mechanical aptitude
• Make independent decisions on interpretation of written specification, verbal specifications and drawings.
• An understanding of sheet metal fabrication and assembly processes is helpful.
• Requires advanced skills in preparation of spreadsheets and word processing software.
• Expertise in time management and multi-tasking
• Flexible schedule to meet customer's daily quote needs, utilizing overtime as required.
• Ability to work as a team member is essential.

Physical Demands are normal office environment requirements. Normal standing, bending, sitting, etc. Must be able to communicate verbally and in written form.
