Lead Distributor Services Correspondent

Position Overview:

Lead position within Distributor Services who will mentor the Distributor correspondent team by providing support and training in best practices for the correspondent position. The focus will be on identifying best practices and helping implement process improvements for the correspondent positions as well as providing backup support to the Distributor Services Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide and lead training for new Distributor correspondents and teach best practices of the Correspondent position as we onboard new correspondents to Distributor Services
• Develop written documentation for processes performed by the Distributor correspondents
• Work in conjunction with the Distributor Services manager to lead the team in executing daily responsibilities
• Provide backup support for Distributor Services manager while out of office. Empowered with the authority to manage the team and make necessary decisions
• Process inventory transaction adjustments necessary when Distributor Services Manager is out of the office
• Serve as a liaison to our distributor network and provide assistance with product availability and compatibility, order status, and shipments
• Coordinate and manage distributor requirements by accepting sales orders, evaluating availability and processing orders
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with assigned distributors as well as assist all correspondents in cultivating relationships with their distributors

• Assist in organizing the load schedule and investigate shipping discrepancies
• Coordinate with Truck Pool and Fleet Departments on shipments of product to distributor locations and installation facilities
• Be proactive and willing to assist all correspondents in resolving distributor issues
• Assist Product Support/Warranty with product warranty issues as required
• Analyze and recommend inventory levels by models as needed. Follow and report market trends for area of responsibility

Position Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of Knapheide Products and Processes
• Self-starter and able to lead team members to meet customer expectations in a fast paced environment
• Strong analytical reasoning and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers as well as coworkers
• Ability to multi task and complete tasks accurately in a timely manner so that customer expectations are met
• Customer focus and responsiveness
• Working knowledge of PC's including Excel and Word
• 5 + years of customer related experience preferred

Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of the Position:

Normal standing, walking and lifting in an office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting and telephone usage.
