Router Maintenance Technician

Position Overview (general description of job):

• Provide labor routings and standard assembly times for KMAN assembly products.
• All assemblies will have consistent, accurate routings and labor times for better control/visibility on the shop floor.
• This technician will notify manufacturing engineering of needed fixtures or tooling required for build operations.

Duties and Responsibilities (primary/secondary responsibilities):

• Review assembly drawings.
• Consistently provide labor routings, work center locations and paint square footage requirements for sub-assemblies and finished goods.
• Analyze and measure work methods and motion studies.
• Update routings and labor estimates as required due to process changes.
• Complete processing on a timely basis to avoid product completion delays.
• Identify tool and fixture requirements to effectively produce new product and communicate those needs to the appropriate assembly engineer.
• Continually seek to improve utilization of manpower, machinery and materials.

Education and/or Certification Requirements:

• Associates degree or equivalent manufacturing experience in industrial engineering/technologies.
• Time/Motion training.

Qualification Requirements (i.e. experience, skills, ability, knowledge etc.):

• Must be self motivated and have good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with BOM structure and item substitution structure.
  • Product and process knowledge a plus.
  • CAD experience a plus.

Physical Demands (i.e. vision, lifting, sitting, standing, etc.):

• Normal standing, bending, walking or lifting ability associated with an office environment. Must be able to communicate with various levels of the corporate structure.
