Transportation Coordinator

Position Overview:

This role is responsible for coordinating daily activities of Knapheide's transportation needs. This requires working with trucking companies, dispatchers, drivers and agents for inbound and outbound logistics. This individual will be the main contact for all daily transportation functions, and will work closely with shipping, receiving, and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule trucks to transport products from manufacturing and truck equipment locations to customers
• Coordinate product returns from customers
• Coordinate inbound transportation from suppliers
• Provide transportation rate quotes to customers and internal employees
• Track shipments
• Audit and process freight bills for payment
• Process paperwork for export shipments
• Provide weekly and monthly reports as required
• Complete small projects as required

Requirements:

• Good communication skills
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Transportation experience helpful
• The ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
• Prefer an individual with a minimum of an Associates degree
• Basic math skills
• Strong customer service skills

Physical Requirements:

Individual will need to be able to work in an office environment.
